Cricut Warp not working? The fixes, in order

Work through these in order. Most people are done by step 3.

1. Warp is missing from the toolbar

• You are on mobile or the web app. Warp is desktop-only. Install Design Space for Windows or macOS.
• Beta is off. Settings → General → Beta Application → on, then restart.
• Design Space is out of date. Update it; Warp was added in early 2024.

2. Warp is greyed out

• More than one layer is selected. Warp works on a single text layer or a single-layer image. Ungroup first.
• The image is multi-layer or a Print Then Cut image. Flatten it, or Warp will refuse.
• The text has multiple lines. Split it into one layer per line.

3. The preview bends but the cut is straight

This is the report that fills the Cricut forums. Try, in this order:

1. Click Flatten on the warped layer, then Make It.
2. Switch Beta Application off (or on, if it was off), restart, reopen the project.
3. Duplicate the layer, delete the original, re-apply the warp.

If none of that works, the dependable route is to skip Design Space’s Warp and upload an SVG that is already curved. Design Space cannot mis-cut what it never had to compute.

4. Letters cut separately or the counters fall out

That is a welding problem, not a Warp problem. After warping, select the layer and click Weld so the letters become one shape. If the middle of your O or A disappears, the file was saved with the wrong fill rule; export again with the tool below, which writes an even-odd path so counters survive.

Make the curved text outside Design Space

Type your word below, pick Arc or Arch, and download the SVG. It contains a single outlined path, no text element, no transform, and a width in inches. Upload it in Design Space and it arrives at the right size, ready to cut.
